Inter Milan's 100% start to the Italian season ended in spectacular fashion as Fiorentina crushed them to move top of Serie A for the first time since 1999.

Fiorentina took the lead at the San Siro through Josip Ilicic's fierce penalty after Inter keeper Samir Handanovic tripped away striker Nikola Kalinic.
Kalinic slid in after Handanovic could not tip over Ilicic's shot, then converted Marcos Alonso's low cross.
Inter centre-back Miranda saw red for cleaning out Kalinic, leaving the home side to play the final hour with 10 men.
Roberto Mancini's men managed to reduce the deficit when skipper Mauro Icardi poked in his own rebound off the Fiorentina post, before former Blackburn striker Kalinic completed his hat-trick by calmly slotting in from close range.
Inter have not won the Scudetto since winning the Serie A, Champions League and Coppa Italia treble under Jose Mourinho in 2010.
But the Nerazzuri raised hopes of ending that barren run by winning their opening five league games.
Fiorentina began the match in third place after a fine start to the season under former QPR, Swansea and Leicester manager Paulo Sousa.
Sousa, who arrived from Swiss side Basel to replace Vincenzo Montella in the summer, has pledged to bring high-tempo football to a team which has finished fourth in each of the last three seasons.
And his philosophy of forcing the opposition into mistakes worked perfectly against Inter, who were torn apart by a series of defensive errors.
La Viola moved above their hosts on goal difference, with defending champions Juventus already 10 points behind after a sluggish start.

Neymar and Barcelona Stars Send Get-Well Messages to Lionel Messi After Injury

Neymar and Barcelona Stars Send Get-Well Messages to Lionel Messi After Injury
Manu Fernandez/Associated Press

Neymar was one of many Barcelona stars to send messages of support to Lionel Messi after the Argentinian superstar tore a knee ligament during Saturday's 2-1 win against Las Palmas.
Per Barcelona, Messi is now set to be absent for up to eight weeks, a huge blow for Luis Enrique's side.
Brazilian forward Neymar sent his best to his teammate on Twitter, per Spanish outlet AS: "Great win! Head up ace, you'll be back better and stronger."
Manu Fernandez/Associated Press
Messi, 28, was injured very early on at the Camp Nou and was forced off the field, but Barca were still able to prevail despite a spirited effort from newly promoted Las Palmas.
Luis Suarez netted both goals for the Catalans and the Uruguayan was also quick to send get-well greetings to Messi, via AS: "Three points and I was able to help the team with goals. Be strong Leo, get better soon mi amigo!"
Messi will miss some key games during his absence, but he is targeting a return for the first El Clasico of the season against Real Madrid on November 22, per La Liga expert Sid Lowe:
Without Messi, Enrique will have to rely on the likes of Suarez and Neymar to step up in attack. They performed well without him against Las Palmas, bouncing back after a surprising  4-1 defeat to Celta Vigo in midweek.
Midfielder Ivan Rakitic noted the importance of getting back on track while sending his own wishes to Messi:
Meanwhile, Barca president Josep Maria Bartomeu backed the team to step up in Messi's absence:
Barcelona have been hit by a number of injuries recently and Messi joins Rafinha on the injury list after the Brazilian forward underwent surgery on a torn right ACL suffered against Roma in the Champions League.
With the Blaugrana unable to register players until January, they were already struggling for depth in attack, per Bleacher Report's Sam Tighe
Messi's injury is thus a huge blow for the La Liga champions as he                                            is,undoubtedly, their best player.
However, they still have immense quality in their ranks and Barcelona must now prove their worth by performing without their key man for the next two months

Did Vin Diesel Just Reveal When The Fast And Furious Franchise Will End?

Did Vin Diesel Just Reveal When The Fast And Furious Franchise Will End? image
The untimely passing of Paul Walker signaled a fundamental change for the Fast & Furious franchise. By the end of Furious 7, all of the characters announced that things would change with the absence of Brian O’Conner. Now, it seems that the franchise will tell one more overarching story, then end its story in earnest.

Franchise icon – and all around nice guy – Vin Diesel has released a statement to hisFacebook page indicating that the Fast & Furious will indeed end after one more trilogy:

The statement most certainly captures the spirit of the franchise as a whole. Family has always been a central thematic element of the series, and Diesel’s posting reinforces the idea that he has a close working relationship with Universal to create the best possible trilogy to finish off the franchise. Furious 7 introduced the team to a whole new world of espionage and globe-trotting adventure – funded mostly by Kurt Russell’s Mr. Nobody – so the final trilogy could easily build off of the mythology that Paul Walker’s final film set into motion.

Little has been said about the direction the final trilogy will go. Diesel has yet to sign off on a director for the eighth film in the franchise, but it has been confirmed that the film will primarily take place in New York
and feature the return of Jason Statham’s Deckard Shaw.

There are certain advantages to knowing that the franchise will come to an end. As we have previously mentioned in our coverage of Resident Evil: The Final Chapter, this gives the Fast & Furious franchise the opportunity to raise the stakes. Up until now, death has been a relatively non-existent concept for most of the franchise’s main characters. Despite his death, Walker’s character was simply "retired" from the franchise, and even characters who have supposedly died in continuity – such as Michelle Rodriguez’ Letty – have been retconned back to life. Knowing that the franchise is ending, Universal and the creative team behind the final trilogy could opt to ramp up the tension and make any of the characters fair game for death.

Saying farewell to the Fast & Furious franchise marks the end of an era. The series began all the way back in 2001 and has regularly released installments over the last 15 years. With only three installments left in the franchise, we feel confident that Diesel and the rest will make them count. Fast and Furious 8 will hit theaters on April 14, 2017.

Facebook's Mark Zuckerberg pledges refugee camp internet access

Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg has announced plans to help bring the internet to UN refugee camps.
Speaking at a UN forum in New York, Mr Zuckerberg said it would help refugees access aid and maintain family links.
He also said Facebook would be part of a new campaign to make the internet available to everyone on the planet within five years.
He said the internet could help the UN meet its development goals and lift people out of poverty.
Signatories to the campaign, called the Connectivity Declaration, include rock star Bono, actress Charlize Theron, entrepreneurs Bill Gates and Richard Branson, and Wikipedia co-founder Jimmy Wales.
He said Facebook would work with the UN High Commissioner for Refugees.
"Connectivity will help refugees better access support from the aid community and maintain links to family and loved ones," he said. "Facebook is in a unique position to help maintain this lifeline."
Some three billion people around the world have internet access, and the connectivity campaign aims to bring the internet to the other four billion.
Mr Zuckerberg says that Facebook has nearly 1.5 billion users who log in once a month, and achieved a billion users in a single day for the first time last month.
He has predicted that the site's reach will continue to grow.

James Milner backs under-fire Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers to turn their season around

James Milner celebrates his goal
Stepping up to the plate: James Milner celebrates his goal
James Milner did a lot of carrying on Saturday.
After helping lift Liverpool to a welcome 3-2 victory over Aston Villa, he cradled his 13-month old daughter in his arms as he left Anfield.
She was wearing a Liverpool shirt, an indicator of how seriously Milner takes his job as acting captain.
And in another sign of his new responsibility, he stopped to defend the team and under-fire boss Brendan Rodgers, joking he couldn’t stand for long because “she’s heavy!”
The England midfielder called for perspective, pointing out his previous club have lost more matches and the Reds are just five points off top spot.

“There are people giving us criticism from outside the club, but I think Manchester City have lost more games than us this season,” he said.
“When things are going well, it gets blown out of context and the same when it’s bad. Someone has told us that we are five points off the top.
“I’ve been really impressed with the manager. Preparation is second to none. We go into every game with a game plan. Training is very good and any problems as a player you can see on the pitch, he has seen them as well.
“A lot of things that have been said are disappointing and frustrating really because you saw how close they went to winning the league a couple of years ago and then with the players that have left the club, it’s going to take time to get back to that point.

“With patience he has shown he’s a top-class manager and with the players we have, we can get to where we want to be.”
Daniel Sturridge’s clinical finishes for his first goals since March have restored Liverpool’s cutting edge and Milner says their diverse striking options are a big positive.
“Him and Danny Ings make great runs,” he said. “We have some great options. Christian Benteke is injured unfortunately, but I think the mix of strikers we’ve got is very good.”
However, putting the glass half-empty argument, it was another patchy display and Liverpool almost snatched a draw from the jaws of victory.

All smiles: Brendan Rodgers gives a thumbs up
Yes, Milner scored and produced his best performance in a red shirt, while Sturridge is back and Lucas was dominant, but there are still areas of concern.
Liverpool remain suspect in defence, particularly under aerial balls, despite Rodgers switching to three at the back.
Still, Rodgers felt sufficiently emboldened to take a swipe at his critics among Liverpool’s former players, accusing them of trying to get him the sack.
“There has been a frenzy to get me out of here,” he said. “There’s no question about that.”

Jose Mourinho hammers Newcastle labelling them as "typical of a team that wins nothing"

Jose Mourinho looks on
Dropping points: Chelsea failed to gain vital points on the Premier League leaders
Jose Mourinho has hit out at Newcastle , insisting that they only raised their game this weekend because they were playing against Chelsea .
Newcastle surrendered a two-goal lead but still rallied to earn a point against the Premier League champions at St. James' Park on Saturday.
Portuguese boss Mourinho saw his side struggle to control the threat of the revitalised Toon, who are still looking for their first win of the season.
The Chelsea manager has never won a match at St. James' Park, losing on all three occasions.
He slammed: "I think maybe one of the reasons why Newcastle over the years doesn't get good positions is because of this mentality, it's because they choose some matches to sweat blood and in other matches, they don't.
"This is an attitude typical of a team that wins nothing."
But Mourinho was complimentary of his rivals and insists that they were worth the point - despite believing they do not do it often enough.
He said: "The reality is that they fought hard, they gave everything, they followed a line that many pundits gave straight away.

Raising their game: Wijnaldum celebrated putting Newcastle 2-0 up
"You have to fight, you have to kick, you have to tackle, you have to run - so they were exactly that, and they fought for a point, and I think they deserved a point the way they fought."
Ramires and Willian both found the net in the final 10 minutes as Chelsea clawed their way back from 2-0 down.
Ayoze Perez and Georginio Wijnaldum had found the net either side of the break to give Steve McClaren's men the advantage.

Gonzalo Higuain slams Cristiano Ronaldo and brands Real Madrid star "egotistical and overrated"

Critical: Higuain was not impressed by Ronaldo's antics on the training ground
Gonzalo Higuain has apparently let rip at Cristiano Ronaldo , branding the Real Madrid man as egotistical.
Ronaldo is on the brink of becoming Los Blancos' all-time record goalscorer in La Liga.
But Ronaldo, whose attitude has been brought into question in the past, has reportedly been slammed by his former team-mate.
Higuain left Real Madrid for Napoli back in 2013 and says that playing alongside Ronaldo is nothing like playing with his Argentina team-mate Lionel Messi.
Napoli have moved to deny the reports but according to Higuain, Ronaldo is not actually as good as he thinks he is.
In pictures - Real Madrid 0-0 Malaga:
Quoted by Spanish newspaper Sport , he said: "He has a lot of ego. If you don't say he's the best, he's not your friend. Cristiano thinks he's the best but he's over-rated.
"I've shared a dressing room with Messi and one is nothing like the other."
Ronaldo failed to score at the weekend as Real Madrid drew 0-0 with Malaga at the Bernabeu.
He was left frustrated after missing a host of chances, just a week after he scored eight goals in two matches.
