Kym Marsh 's boyfriend Matt Baker has hit back at his pregnant ex Danni Ballard - claiming she has told him that her unborn baby is NOT his.
The private health consultant took to his Twitter account to respond to comments made by Danni, who insists her unborn child is Matt's.
He posted a picture on his social networking account of a statement, which reads: "I write this statement in response to a story in this mornings paper and these will be my only comments on the matter:
"After ending our relationship I was then told at a later time by Danielle Ballard that she was pregnant with my child.
"I have since been told by Ms Ballard that I am not the father.
"Upon finding out otherwise I will honour my position as a parent.
"I can categorically state that breakdown of the relationship of myself and Danielle Ballard had nothing to do with Kym Marsh."
Matt's comments come on the same day distraught Danni told how she confronted the shocked Corrie star and her old love in a shopping centre.
Danni has been left devastated by the split - and has told friends how she faced the couple down after bumping into them in a Next in Manchester 11 days ago as they all shopped for children’s clothes.
Danni had a nine month relationship with Matt, 26, before he left her for the Corrie star .
Actress Kym, 39, was pictured last week looking loved up with the personal trainer who she dated briefly last year.
Now, in the aftermath of a confrontation that could have graced the cobbles, furious Danni has told pals she wants Matt to be a responsible dad. But he has demanded a paternity test.
Speaking to friends about her heartbreak, Danni said: “This has been the hardest time of my life.
"Matt needs to face up to his responsibilities – and, if he stays with Kym, she must help him see that.”
Danni was shopping for Next baby clothes in Manchester’s Trafford Centre when she spotted her ex Matt looking at girl’s clothing with Kym’s young daughter Polly.
Danni later told a friend that when she said “Hi” Matt looked at her and said, “Go away”.
She said she asked Matt what was going on because he was with someone else’s child.
She told her friend she then asked Matt: “Do you think it’s right you’re pushing someone else’s pram in the kids’ section of Next, when you won’t have anything to do with me or the baby ?”
Danni said he walked off without saying anything – so then she tried to speak to Kym.
“I said Kym, can I have a word?” said Danni to her pal. “I said I didn’t want to cause any trouble, I just want to talk to you.
“She looked at me and my bump, then she turned her back on me. I said ‘Do you think it’s acceptable that he looks after your child when he’s totally not acknowledged that I’m pregnant with his baby?’
She wouldn’t look at me at all.”
